Akhil's Next Film Put on Hold:- Akhil Akkineni is yet to taste the success and he is working hard on his next project that is a family entertainer directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. GA2 Pictures are the producers and the film is slated for summer 2020 release. The actor was in talks with young director Prashanth Varma for a film for some time. The young actor was impressed with Prashanth's work in Awe and wanted to team up.

With Prashanth's recent offering Kalki ending up as a dud, Akhil is not in a mood to experiment with his next. At this time, Akhil got knocked by Tamil director PS Mithran and signed the film. Akhil already met Mithran and discussed about the plot several times in Chennai. The actor is keen on doing different films. This flick will be shot in Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously. Prashanth Varma will now have to find one more actor for his next project.
