There are rumors that Balakrishna will play one of the lead roles in the remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The Malayalam movie was a smashing hit and Haarika and Hassine Creations acquired the remake rights of Ayyappanum Koshiyum for Telugu.

Rana Daggubati already signed the remake and his home banner Suresh Productions will bankroll the project along with Haarika and Hassine Creations. The hunt for the right director and the other lead actor is currently on. Things will be announced officially at the earliest once they are finalized.
