Malayalam Film Jallikattu Is India's Entry For The Oscars:- The prestigious Academy Awards for 2021 will take place on April 25th next year and are delayed because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Malayalam film Jallikattu is finalized as the India's official entry for the 93rd Academy Awards or Oscars. The film has been selected in the Best International Feature Film category. Among the list of 27 Indian films, Jallikattu was finalized as India's entry for Oscars 2021 for the emotional content.

The other films that were in the race are said to be The Disciple, Shakuntala Devi, Shikara, Gunjan Saxena, Chhapaak, AK vs AK, Gulabo Sitabo, Bhonsle, Chhalaang, Eeb Allay Ooo!, Check Post, Atkan Chatkan, Serious Men, Bulbbul, Kaamyaab, The Sky is Pink, Chintu ka Birthday and Bittersweet. The film is directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sabumon Abdusamad and Santhy Balachandran played the lead roles. The film is based on the famous bull-taming event that is held in Tamil Nadu every year. The film's content is majorly focused on explaining about the major difference between a human being and an animal.
