Eagle: A Nightmare for People Media Factory:- Ravi Teja's latest offering Eagle released last weekend and the response has been mixed. The openings were minimal and there was no growth in the numbers on Saturday and Sunday. The film crashed down badly on Monday leaving everyone in huge losses. People Media Factory believed the film so much and they spent lavishly on the film. The film's final budget touched Rs 70 crores including the remunerations and expenses. The makers managed to sell off the music and the Hindi rights. The satellite and digital rights were unsold. Though Amazon Prime was in the race to buy the digital rights, the quote was quite low and the producers decided to close the deal post-release.
Now with the poor performance of the film, the asking price for the digital and the satellite rights would be quite low. People Media Factory releases their films on their own and the theatrical risk falls on them. Now, Eagle would be a huge loss venture considering the budgets and the given deals. Though People Media Factory is capable of bearing the loss, Eagle will be a huge dent for them in their journey. The team is in plans to close the pending losses and recover some of the losses. The theatrical run of the film will come to an end this week. Karthik Ghattamaneni directed Eagle and Ravi Teja, Anupama Parameshwaran, Kavya Thapar played the lead roles.
