Soon, offers poured in and success came her way. She acted opposite almost all the well-known heroes of T – Town and K – Town and busy in shaping up her career in B – Town as well, after bagging that star image in South Film industry. Who can forget her extra ordinary performance as Hasini in Bhaskar’s directorial ‘Bommarillu’?

But, all does not seem to be fine with this Bubbly girl. Recently, she was in the news for abusing and ill-treating a Press person who has come up for her bytes to air in their T.V. Channel. Even Genelia’s apologies to the entire press later, could not make much of a difference. Now, this heroine has faced another big issue. She has been banned by Movie Artistes Association (MAA) for not taking membership. It is said that she was reminded many times regarding membership but she ignored to take member ship.

GeneliaD’souza one of the top actresses in Tollywood has to take life time membership from MAA by paying Rs.1lakh. But being in industry for 8 years, she didn’t take membership and as a result she had to face the consequences.

The actress’ latest Telugu film NaaIshtam has been exempted, but she can’t be signed on by producers after this film.

MAA issued notice to all producers not to support her in this regard, as per the sources. Apart from this, Genei is also in news of seeing her first Hindi flick co – star RiteshDeshmukh that both have been denying from ages. After her latest B – Town release ‘force’ Genelia, is acting in ‘TereNaal Love Ho Gaya’ with RiteshDeshmukh and ‘Rock The Shaadi’.

Now, will MAA allow this Actress to shoot in Telugu films after she repays the amount? Is this actress willing to pay the membership fees? Well, as of now, no clue!
