After the success of the digital version of Mayabazaar, many old filmmakers were planning to re-live the tradition by digitizing some more films. And one such film that brought in huge revenues to the producers was Sivaji Ganesan – Savithri combo's Karna. The film ran to packed houses and brought in multiple revenues of investments made on technical excellence.
And the latest in the league is another classic. If speculations are to be believed another Sivaji Ganesan – Savithri combo Thiruvilayadal will be soon released in the digital format. Paramasivan, son of veteran filmmaker A P Nagarajan has taken all efforts to convert the film in digital format using state-of-the-art technology and completed the task in Chennai and some European countries.
Thiruvilayadal is about the various forms Lord Shiva had taken to help his devotees tide over hurdles. The narration and screenplay are awesome. This film is sure to give the Gen Next more knowledge on our epics and mythology. It is a rare souvenir of gift to all of us from our reverred ancestors. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
