Critics are always critics, come what may. This is what I got to realize after the mixed bag of responses, Maattrraan had received. Irrespective of their response, the Surya, Kajol Agarwal starer seems to have bombarded the box office, over the weekends. In fact most went back home and rewrote their responses after seeing the immense response the film received, in its 1500 screens, globally.

In Chennai the film was released on 32 screens and the total in the Tamil Nadu state were 500. Most have reported nearly full occupancy, while exact figures are yet to come in. The flick revolves around conjoined twins directed by ace cinematographer turned Director K V Anand.

Surya shows distinct differences between both the characters in looks, dressing and behavior. And he excels in acting as visioned by the director. Technical values in the special facial scanning led by VFX Supervisor V. Srinivas Mohan is awesome and path breaking to the Indian Panorama.  Harris Jayaraj grooved well into the slot of the film by rendering different genre songs for the moods of both the characters.
