To be the movie Icon of the Year, you need not be the most senior actress of the highly influential lead character of the industry, Parul Yadav proves to Sandalwood. Hailing from the glam town, Mumbai, Parul Yadav has already made the buzz in town and it is now recognized too after an awards function, Lux Glamor has decided to confer on her the Icon of the Year at the ceremony.

The actress from Govindaya Namaha was promoting her latest hit release Bachchan in town at an awards function at Innovative Film City on Sunday.

She performed solo and also in a duet with Ravichandaran on the stage live as a part of the show. The pleasant ending waiting for her at the end of the show was the award. The costume for the performance was designed yet again by Niksha Lulla.

With her extremely simple yet elegant attire designed by Sonam M, people could hardly take their eyes off the Mumbaikar. The humbled actress said, "It's extremely precious, one of a kind and one of my firsts too," on her Twitter page.
