It is known that, Super Star Mahesh Babu had many times specified that, he would not opt remakes. But it seems he compromised on the issue now.

If the buzz is to be believed, Thani Oruvan the recent Tamil blockbuster is immensely liked by Mahesh, after the movie director screened a special show for the actor for convincing him to do the role.

Actually, Mega Power Star Ram Charan showed a special interest on the film to do remake in Telugu, but the director Mohan Raja is willing to rope Mahesh, as the police character in the film, would perfectly suit Mahesh, who earlier performed police characters in the movies like Pokiri, Dookudu etc and delivered blockbusters.

However, as of now, Mahesh did not give any nod to the film, even though he liked the original plot. Thani Oruvan featured Jayam Ravi and Nayanatara in the lead roles. The plot revolves around a police officer.

As of now, Mahesh new movie Brahmothsavam is yet to be started and Mahesh will join the shoot soon. On the other side, the script is even liked by the Bollywood biggies, who are showing interest to remake the film. Reportedly, Salman Khan is already being considered for the main lead role.

The critics opine that, Salman is already accustomed to remake several south Indian movies and even succeeded in it. But it might be a tough time for Mahesh to give his nod to the subject, as he openly decalred many times, that he does not wish to do remakes.

If Mahesh steps back, Pawan Kalyan who will again be ready to do remakes, might be contacted to do the film, as he is the perfect alternative for Mahesh in terms of police characters. Gabbar Singh success is the best example for the statement. However the decision of Mahesh is yet to be heard.
