Upon the failure of Bruce Lee, this is what Srinu Vaitla taught to the future movie makers.
On an average, at least 40 crores is being invested on every big hero in Tollywood, to reach the expectations of the fans and the normal audience. The makers are able to dare to this level, basing upon the minimum guarantee opening collections of the star heroes.
The same thing was even did for Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee movie. Adding to that, as Mega Star Chiranjeevi is also doing a special role in the film, they did not mind about the investment of the film.
But the makers are shocked to observe that, Bruce Lee was even witnessed a dip in that opening collections, as the negative talk was started right from the first show.
The reason behind this is, Srinu Vaitla’s earlier movie Aagadu was a huge disaster in both Mahesh and Srinu Vaitla’s career.
Moreover, in that movie, Srinu Vaitla has written indirect satirical dialogues on mega heroes, Nandamuri heroes and the way, Tollywood audience is accustomed to the movies. This was severely taken by the mega fans and are waiting for the right chance to take revenge on Srinu Vaitla.
So what can be the best time to take revenge, other than making his movie with a mega hero, a flop. The same thing was repeated and Bruce Lee finally had completed its run in the theatre, with losses.
Regarding Bruce Lee losses and Srinu Vaitla, though Kona Venkat tried to apply makeup to hide the truth, the trade figures revealed that, Bruce Lee ended up with losses. However the losses are less and so the distributors, who decided to fight for the recovery of the losses, had compromised later.
So Bruce Lee should be a tight jolt to the makers, to think before investing on big heroes, whether the script is safe or not.
