Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna, the two big senior stars of Tollywood, who comfortably occupied number one and number two positions respectively, for over two decades, is going to reach a milestone in this year.
While Chiranjeevi, already declared that, he would do his 150th film, which is remake of Tamil super hit, Katthi, even Balakrishna would be completing 100 films this year.
VV Vinayak is currently making the pre-production work and the movie would go to the sets, in a few days. Nayanthara, who earlier acted in two films of VV Vinayak - Lakshmi and Yogi, is buzzed to be the female lead, in Mega Star’s film too. As the movie is a remake, analysts opine that, the expectations would be halted. However, Chiru had the record of scoring huge hits with the remakes too (Eg.: Shankar Dada MBBS)
On the other side, Balakrishna’s 99th movie, Dictator, is getting ready for release on Sankranthi and meanwhile, his 100th movie, would reportedly be kept in the hands of the senior director, Singeetham Srinivasa Rao.
Balakrishna’s dream project Aditya 369’s sequel, Aditya 999 would be directed by Singeetham. Aditya 369 is no doubt a fantastic movie, which redefined the stamina of a Telugu cinema, those days. But, in all these years, now Balakrishna has emerged as a big star, possessing huge stardom. People started moving to the theatres for Balakrishna first and movie next.
At this point of time, a script like Aditya 999, where the subject itself is the king, is expected to dominate the image of Balakrishna and end up giving negative results, the analysts say.
However, Baahubali proved that, when the movie is worth, hero’s image cannot disturb the success. Hope the same magic takes place in Balayya’s issue too.
Finally, let us hope that, our two legendary heroes - Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna, who kept on entertaining us, with their performances over the years, would reach the new heights, with their landmark films.
