When there are rumors in the industry saying that, Balakrishna’s retirement age is nearing and has to quit films, he stunned everyone, with the huge hit like Simha and again with the Legend.
After Narasimha Naidu in 2001, none of his films, could secure the success of his range, and finally, after 9 long years, in 2010, Balayya secured a good success through Simha. After that movie, he again faced a few failures and secured another huge success through Legend.
It was then, rumors ruled that, Balakrishna’s success credit goes to director Boyapati Seenu itself, and no other director can give him success, other than Boyapati.
So it seems, Balakrishna was deeply hurt by this buzz and so unwilling to give the credit to Boyapati again, with the intention of owning the entire credit for himself, he reportedly put Boyapati aside and opted senior director Singeetham Srinivas Rao.
Balayya’s earlier super hit, Aditya 369 sequel, is titled as Aditya 999, and the same would be made as the 100th film.
During Aditya 369, no doubt, Balakrishna has a good following, but over the years, he emerged as a huge superstar, who earned an immense following among the masses. At this point of time, making a fantasy film in Aditya series, obviously eliminates commercial elements and thus expected to disappoint Balayya’s fans.
Attempting a daring step that too for 100th film, is threatening Nandamuri fans. So it should be seen, whether Balakrishna takes back his decision or go on with the same.
