2003 is one such year where both Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu and their fans would never forget.
Pawan’s Jhonny and Mahesh’s Nijam movies got released in 2003. Being the projects released after the duo’s industry hits Kushi and Okkadu respectively, there were huge expectations. Unfortunately, both the films terribly failed at the box office, leaving a night mare to the fans. Jhonny was released in April and Nijam in May.
Now, coinciding the months, again Pawan’s last outing Sardaar Gabbar Singh was released in April and ended, disappointing the fans, and Mahesh’s Brahmotsavam released in May, making the box office, take a beat, right after the first show.
However, due to the commercial elements, Sardaar Gabbar Singh at least managed to collect Rs 50 crores, but Brahmotsavam being a family entertainer, seems highly tough to make any impact, even in terms of the collections.
After the blockbusters like Attharintiki Daredi and Srimanthudu, the duo heroes facing this range of disasters is making the fans relate to the 2003 year.
