Rana Daggubati is one of the finest actors of Indian cinema. He has done films in all the languages and is occupied with enough work. The actor is suffering with health-related issues. Rana got operated with kidney transplant recently in USA and took rest for three months there. Rana returned back to the country after he recovered well but he is yet to start shooting for his next film as he needs ample rest for some more time.

Rana signed Hiranyakashyapa, a mythological drama in the direction of Gunasekhar. The film has been under pre-production from a long time and the regular shoot was planned to start early next year. Rana who is not completely fit lost huge weight and turned lean. He needs to beef up to look as Hiranyakashyapa and it takes a year to get the desired look. Hence, Rana Daggubati decided to walk out of the project. Rana's father Suresh Babu who is producing the film is in hunt for the right actor to essay Hiranyakashyapa.
