Hero Siddarth’s ‘180’, tagged as ‘Ee Vayasika Raadu’, released today, with high expectations. The film is a bilingual released simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Siddarth is seen romancing Nitya Menon and Priya Anand. The take off of the film seems to be good. This is a classy film that has lot of emotions and an essence of romance in it. Though the film is entertaining, as per my knowledge ‘180’, succeeds in making only ‘A’ Center audience happy. Let’s move on to the review;
Story: The film starts introducing the lead role Ajay a.k.a Mano (Siddarth), who loves spending in each and every moment of his life. He helps the needy people and believes in living in the moment. Mano encounters with Vidya (Nitya), a photo journalist, and soon, their relationship turns to love, as Vidya starts loving Mano. Vidya tries to express her feelings on Mano to him, and unexpectedly Vidya meet with an Accident. Vidya encounters with a problem in her Spinal Cord. As per the Advice of the Doctors, Mano takes Vidya to America in order to help her out with a treatment. Here, Vidya comes to know about who is Mano? Where did he come from? And what is Priya Anand’s role in the film is also a Bit of a Suspense factor that has to be seen on – screen.
Performance: Siddarth, gives his best of the performance in every film, so as in his ‘180’. Nitya Menon, also received much of appreciation for her performance. However, in order to sustain for a long time in this glamour world, the Actress has to put a check on her weight, though. Another Heroine, Priya Anand, get an opportunity to play best role, out of her entire career, till date. Actor Tanikella Bharani also did his best. Rest of the characters was fit at their place. Director Jayendra, who debuts into cinema with this film, comes from a ad making background. The director has amazing sense of taking. The Cinematography by, Bala Subramaniam was extra ordinary. Specially, the song ‘Vayasika Raadu’ that was captured in a slow motion was worth watching. The music scores by Sharath, were quite natural.
Analysis: Director Jayendra, who has maintained clarity in taking each and every short in an extra ordinary manner, failed to maintain the clarity in connecting the sequences of the film. The story is much predictable, and the story lacks its freshness. Earlier, Siddarth’s ‘Oye’, has some up with a similar story such as ‘180’. There is an in built tragedy in the film. ‘180’, is definitely for A – Class audience only. The movie gives you a feeling that it is a bit dragging. People, who enjoy, every minor essence in a film, would enjoy ‘180’, to certain extent. But, the story and routine screenplay, makes you feel ‘180’ is like any other film.
Final Word: ‘180’ ‘One Time’ Watcher.
