Andhhagadu is the story of Gautam (Raj Tarun) who is blind by birth. He manages to grow up after which he falls in love with Nethra (Hebah Patel). It is during this time she comes to know that he has no eyes and helps him get a donor. Things change completely after Kulkarni (Rajendra Prasad) and Babji (Raja Raveendra) comes into their lives. The first half of Andhhagadu has been thoroughly entertaining and is a fun ride. With some decent romantic drama and melodious songs, Andhhagadu strikes hard and impresses the audience big time. The unexpected twists leave the audience in surprise and the film races ahead throughout the first half. Fresh entertainment and engaging narration are the major highlights of the first half which turns the film impressive.
After a decent and impressive first half, the second half too follows the same path. It is during this time the major plot of the film unfolds and the director manages to narrate the story without much confusion. Though some of the episodes look dragged, the film manages to keep the audience engaging. The pre-climax is the major highlight of the movie and the climax looks decent enough.
Raj Tarun looks matured and he essayed the role of Gautam with utmost ease. He has been highly entertaining as a blind man and took the film to the next level. Hebah Patel as Nethra looks apt and she has been energetic in the assigned role. Rajendra Prasad and Raja Raveendra have been extremely apt and powerful in their roles. Satya made sure that the film has been entertaining. All the other actors managed to do their jobs well.
The story of Andhhagadu is sure interesting with enough twists. The screenplay and the dialogues look decent. The cinematography is the film’s major highlight and the music, background score looks decent. The editing has been niche and the production values looked grand. Veligonda Sreenivas’s expertise as director is visible pretty clearly.
