Akhanda Analysis

Akhanda Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast & Crew

Akhanda is targeted at fans and mass movie lovers. The trailer of the film revealed that the film would be high on action. The first half starts on a slow pace and as it picks up, the film is packed with huge dose of action. The interval episode introduces the second role Akhanda and it is a treat for the masses. Both the songs are shot well and they look lavish on screen. Balayya's performance and the dialogues apart from the action are the major highlights of the first half of the film. Pragya Jaiswal is good and Srikanth fails to make his impact as the lead antagonist.

The second half looks racy though it has an overdose of action throughout. Balayya nails it completely with his packed performance and his dialogues are written well. Thaman's background score takes the action stunts to the next level. Though the climax is predictable, it is Thaman's background score that makes the episode impressive. The second half looks lengthy and it is a treat for masses. The family audience will have nothing much in Akhanda and it may not appeal for the family crowds because of the overdose of action. Akhanda will be a perfect treat for Nandamuri fans.

Performance

Nandamuri Balakrishna offers a perfect treat for his fans through Akhanda. He stuns in the dual roles and his portrayal as Akhanda will stand out for a long time. His dialogue delivery is top class and both the looks are taken enough care of. He carried the entire second half single-handedly for sure. Pragya Jaiswal looks beautiful and she shines in the role of a Collector and wife of Murali Krishna. Poorna is good. Srikanth who played the lead antagonist makes no impact. His role is poorly written and his performance too makes no impact. All the other actors are good on screen and they delivered their best for the film.

Akhanda has nothing much to reveal and is a regular commercial caper that is laced around two roles. The film is quite predictable and it is Boyapati's narration along with the performances and the dialogues that make the film passable. Thaman delivers average songs but he is just flawless, outstanding with the background score. He is widely appreciated for his work. The cinematography work is good and the makers spent lavishly on the film. Every frame looks rich. Boyapati Sreenu who is one of the best mass helmers of Telugu cinema delivers one more film that will appeal to the masses.

Akhanda Final Word

Akhanda is a fully loaded mass entertainer that will appeal to Nandamuri fans and mass movie lovers. For others, it might not live up to the expectations.
