Genelia claims to be a simple girl and refrains from donning the sexy avatar onscreen. She claims her life is always an open book and she never played a rebel or breaks the rules and brushed aside any linkups.
Says Genelia, “I’ve never had restrictions at home because I come from a Christian family and we socialise all the time and we have parties and blah blah blah…”. When asked that Christians are conservative about boys and romancing, she says, “…it’s not like I wasn’t allowed to get boys home and blah blah…”.
What you say about your career?
Once upon a time my films has flopped continuously and the people who said Jenelia is ‘Iron Leg’ are now saying that mine is ‘Golden Leg’. I have seen the difference between victory and flop. My flops were very good lesson for me. But I know only one thing that’s to do my own work.
How much efforts will be present for heroine to make that movie a big success?
Heroine plays a very important role in the movie likewise the heroine would also plays very important role in getting that movie a big success. I won’t be like I have done the movie and taken the amount or not. After completion of movie I will be also present for promoting the movie and I will try my level best to make the movie a big success. I always take care to reach the heart of audience with my acting.
We heard that you are doing television shows in Bollywood? Do you have any thoughts to do in Tollywood too?
Definitely, I will learn Telugu language and will do reality shows. Many people said that “Is that necessary to act in small screen after acting in big screens”? But many of them can reach the hearts of people through small screen. That’s my opinion.
Your Co heroines are doing lady oriented movie? When you are going to do that kind of movies?
If I get that type of story then I will definitely do that. Even though Bommarillu, Dhi, Ready, Sasi Rekha Parinayam movies were not lady oriented movies but I got much fame from that movie. I won’t think that we only get fame through lady oriented movies.
Are you going to join in Bikni Club?
I don’t have that type of thoughts. I will wear dresses which I feel comfortable. Bikni is not only the way to look sexy.
There is news that you are in love with Bollywood star Ritesh Deshmukh?
There is nothing like that. Ritesh is very good friend of mine. If I love anyone then I would shout loudly and will say it to the whole world.
What are the current movies in Bollywood?
I am going to do movies with Shahid Kapoor, John Abraham and Harman Baweja. There are some more movies other than these which are in discussions.
