American Telugu Association (ATA) trustee member Balavanth Reddy Kommidi has convened a special gathering at New Jersey on Monday wherein a large number of Telugu speaking people took part. Justice B Sudershan Reddy, who has also presided over the function, has said that common people in Coastal Andhra Pradesh were not against the formation of Telangana state. He, however, stressed leaders from Telangana region shouldn't make pass any comments on Seemandhra people.
Justice Sudershan Reddy said except for a few political leaders and real estate majors, remaining all welcomed the proposal of bifurcation. To make a point he has said that the people, who grabbed the land, not only looted Telangana but even Seemandhra people. In case Telangana is carved out, people in Seemandhra would also be benefitted as it would be giving good scope for employment. Ruling out the statements of certain leaders, who are apparently creating apprehensions, Justice said that even after formation of Telangana people would and should come and live in Hyderabad. Justice B Sudershan Reddy is a retired Supreme Court Judge.
It has to be mentioned here that the Constitution of India guarantees every citizen of country to freely reside and settle in any part of the country.
