NRI women seek justice

Delhi rape incident not only shook the entire incident but even disturbed others out of country. In a latest incident, NRI women from Indonesia have approached Indian ambassador today and handed over a petition, which not only condemns the heinous crime but also appeals for the quicker justice. Ambassador Gurjit Singh, who responded positively has said that the country was making every effort to make the country a safer place for women.

The ambassador even explained to the women of Indian origin that an expert committee headed by Justice Verma gave some recommendations related to offences in the country against women. The Government of India has taken the report and started observing the same, said. He further added stating that those recommendations would be taken into consideration. Assaults on women have reportedly increased in the country compared to the past. When people never forget that a woman belongs to the gender that gave birth to him/her, attacks and assaults on women will not take place.
