Indian American Srinivas Murthy dies rescuing his son:- An Indian American has lost his life while saving his 12-year-old son at a California beach. Srinivasa Murthy Jonnalagadda was spending his leisure time at Panther Beach in Santa Cruz. At around 6 PM his son was struggling to get out of the water as he was stuck in the wave. Murthy who doesn’t know swimming ran to save him. Unfortunately, Murthy was dragged into the deeper water.

Emergency personnel who rushed to the site after hearing their family screams was able to retrieve Murthy. After CPR he was boarded onto California Highway Patrol Helicopter and taken to Standford Hospital. Murthy succumbed to injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Another man who tried to rescue Murthy rescued his son and got out of the water without any injuries.
