A Balanced Diet During Pregnancy Can Lower The Risk Of Gestational Diabetes:- A study from several kinds of research told that the balanced diet during pregnancy can save a woman from obesity and can reduce the risk of gestational diabetes. The entire research has been published in the European Journal of Nutrition. The study was conducted on 351 women and the dietary intake was traced. The nutrient was calculated from the food diaries based on their diet patterns. The diet quality index of all the women was calculated. Doctoral Candidate Lotta Pajunen, the first author from the Institute of Biomedicine at the University of Turku said that the results told that the healthy diet reduces the risk of the gestational diabetes.
The consumption of fat (saturated fats) are connected to gestational diabetes. The intake of saturated fats leads to body inflammation. A comprehensive diet was prepared so that it makes a healthy diet for the pregnant women. The research was done to reduce the risk of gestational diabetes among the pregnant women through a healthy diet. Eating vegetables, fruits, grain products, berries and unsaturated fats is a must in the diet. All these foods reduce the inflammation and they will reduce the risk of gestational diabetes.
