For a pink lips, that enhance your beauty...

Dark lips aren't necessarily a bad thing! Everyone has a different natural lip color-it's as varied as skin color. Some people have pink lips, others have lips that are light, but others are darker. And dark can be beautiful! You can definitely use a deep, bold lipstick in red, dark red or wine to really make the most of your lip color and warm it up a bit. But if you really want pink lips, there are some ways to lighten lips-and to make them appear more pink.

First of all, have your lips always been dark? If you went from pink lips to dark lips very rapidly, and they don’t seem to be changing back, it could be a sign of an underlying health problem. If this is the case, visit a doctor for a check up. But if your lips have always been dark, you might want to try a couple of these methods to lighten lips:

Watch your diet

For pink lips, first cut down on tea and coffee. Even red wine could be staining your lips the way it can stain teeth. Quit smoking, too. I heard that smoking can definitely make lips look darker.

Use sunscreen

Use a lip balm or gloss with sunscreen in it every day. That will keep the sun from tanning your lips any further and could help lighten lips over time. Reapply it often.

Keep lips moist

If you really want pink lips, you want to keep your lips well moisturized. First use a soft exfoliating wash and use it to scrub your lips in a circular motion whenever you wash your face. You can also use a soft bristled toothbrush to exfoliate your lips. This will get rid of any dry skin or flakes that can keep your lips from looking pink. Apply petroleum jelly or a lip balm every night before you go to bed so that lips stay moisturized. I really like Blistex medicated lip balm. It comes in a pink pot and keeps my lips from drying out.

Use makeup

You can use a concealer on your lips before applying a pink lipstick. Experiment with lipstick colors that can make your lips pink. Lipliner can really make a pink lip color stay on if you use it first. Another good choice is a lip stain, which can make it look like you’re not wearing a lip color at all but like you really have pink lips. Cover Girl has a good lipstain that’s like a marker, and Stila has one that brushes on. Longwearing lip colors could help lighten your lips, too.
