Best Beaches To Visit In Mumbai:- Mumbai happens to be the financial capital of the country and the city has a sea coast on its side. There are several beaches that give you access to the Arabian sea. The beaches of Girgaum Chowpatty, Juhu Beach, Marve and Madh are crowded. But there are beaches that are not much explored near to Mumbai. It would be a great experience if you take a break and explore these beaches. Here are some of them:
Rajodi Beach: The beach is not well known to many and is good for a day's visit. It has resorts, beach houses to stay in the night. There are water sports available and can be an adventurous trip with beach camps. Rajodi Beach is also a good one for photography. One can drive to the beach located in Virar.
Dahanu Beach: The beach is spread across 17 km in Palghar taluka which is very clean and safe. This beach makes a perfect visit for the families and it has many chikoo orchards. There are a lot of local businesses. It has less number of tourists visiting the beach and there are several beachfront properties to stay in the night. It is better to travel on your own vehicle as there is a road side beach and the experience would be fabulous.
Kelva Beach: The beach is surrounded by palm trees and is spread across 8 km. The best time to visit Kelva Beach is in the mornings and on weekdays. There would be no beack shacks available and there are few options to eat in this calmest beach. You can travel to Kelva Beach by a local train to Kelwa and then reach the beach on an auto.
Uran Beach: The beach is located in Navi Mumbai and is in the outskirts of Mumbai. Uran Beach is also known as Pirwari beach. It is surrounded by water on three sides. There are lot of temples near to the beach. You can reach Uran Beach through ferry from Gateway of India. One can also travel by a train to Kajrat or Panvel and take a public transport or an auto.
Murud Beach: The beach is famous for Murud and Janjira fort which is built on an island in the middle of the sea. There would be low tides and you can travel by boat. The fort is built in the 15th century by Emperor Malik Amber. There are lot of water sports available on Murud Beach including paragliding. You can use RO-RO or ferry from Gateway of India. You can also travel on your own transport.
