Here are some places for Trekking in India:- Everyone loves trekking and this would be a physical and mental challenge. This would offer you a chance to revisit the nature from the top. Once you are in, it would be good to reinvent. If you are a beginner, here are some of the places for trekking in the country which are less than 12 km:
Chatakpur Tiger Hill Trek, Darjeeling: This is a 7 km trek that will take you through the dense forests of Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary. You can visit the mountain ranges of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest. The trek can be covered in 5 hours and there is a place an overnight camping.
Triund Trek, McLeodganj: The trek is between McLeodganj and Dharamkot which is 11 km long and it can be covered in 4-5 hours and this depends on your speed. The route is packed with tuck shops. you can return back in the evening or stay in the night camp in the Forest Department Guest House.
Chembra Peak, Kerala: Chembra Peak is the tallest one in Kerala which is 7 km. Everyone can complete the return trek by the evening. The route offers good experience with a great view with tea gardens and coffee estates. There is no scope for night stay and you have to return back by evening.
Nongriat Trek, Meghalaya: The trek is 7 km long and it starts from Tyrna near Cherrapunji and it leads to the Rainbow waterfall. It is advisable to take a guide as there would be lot of rainfalls.
Tadiandamol trek, Karnataka: The trek takes you to the hills of Kodagu region and it lasts for 12 km at Nalknad palace with coffee estates, dense forest and amazing grassland. The trek can be completed without a guide and it is on the top of the mountains.
