BJP Amit Shah to Take part in Public Meeting in Warangal

BJP national president Amit Shah will be taking part in a huge public meeting at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Hanamkonda on Saturday. Confirming this, senior leader M. Dharma Rao said that Amit Shah will arrive in Warangal by 4 pm.

Minister of state for home Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, BJP state president K. Laxman, MLA G. Kishan Reddy and other Central and state BJP leaders will also take part in the meeting.

A massive stage has been erected at the stadium. All facilities and arrangements have been made like drinking water. Banners and posters were put up across the tri-cities and along the highways.

The local BJP leaders are making sure the meeting goes off peacefully.

After inspecting the arrangements at the stadium, Mr Dharma Rao said that “the Bharatiya Janata Party is dedicated to spreading awareness on the Telangana freedom struggle among the public in the entire country. “

“The TRS is sabotaging facts for their political gains and is not recognising the sacrifices of many freedom fighters. There are several villages in Warangal district which stood against the atrocities of the Razakaar army and fought for freedom.  Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is talking rubbish about the Nizam rule. If he tries to bury the truth, the people will bury him too,” he warned.

About 40 Telangana freedom fighters from Warangal would be felicitated by Amit Shah on Saturday. The party has also arranged cultural programmes reflecting the Telangana freedom struggle.

The police are also on alert mode for the arrival of Amit Shah. They are making arrangements to ensure no untoward incidents take place.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the state and addressed BJP workers in Hyderabad. The top leaders of BJP and Union ministers are frequently visiting Telangana state, as they are desperately trying to improve their cadre base in the newly-formed Telangana state.

Though the Tiranga Yatra of the BJP, which commenced on August 9, ended on August 22 elsewhere in the country, the Yatra continued till September 17 in Telangana to mark the Hyderabad Liberation Day.

“The Tiranga Yatra was extended up to September 17 as per the suggestion by Narendra Modi,” a party leader said.
