William, Kate unite in wedlock

Prince-WilliamIn what is considered as a booster to the sagging morale of the British monarchy, Prince William married his girl friend Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey on Friday in London as lakhs of supporters and fans of the Royal family gathered outside to snatch a glimpse of the historic royal wedding.

Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams conducted the marriage ceremonies for the future king and queen of England as more than 2 billion people across the globe have reportedly witnessed the live coverage of the celebrations over hundreds of TV channels.

The ceremonies, which included the exchange of wedding rings, were witnessed in the Westminster Abbey by specially invited guests of various countries.

Earlier, Kate Middleton’s ivory and white satin gown with its low neckline, high lace collar, long lacy sleeves and a train over 2-meter-long prompted swoons and cheers of admiration from the huge crowds when she stepped out of a Rolls-Royce with her father and moved towards the Westminster Abbey to  marry  the Prince.

Sun also was spotted emerging out of the clouds on a chilly day at the same moment when she stepped out of her car as if to give a feeling that the Sun-God has showered his blessings to the gorgeous bride and her life partner.

Prince William wore the scarlet tunic of an Irish Guards officer, sending a strong signal of support for the armed forces and reinforcing his new image as a dedicated military man.

Doubts continue to haunt people

As the ceremonies are over and the newly wed Royal couple left for the Buckingham Palace in a Royal procession, people started wishing them long and happy married life. But doubts continue to harass the minds of the people of Britain if this royal couple will live happily for ever or will end up like Prince Charles and Princess Diana?
