DMK loses opp. status to DMDK

vijayakanthCorruption - tainted DMK, which was routed by the Jaya wave in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, has also lost its opposition party status to ‘Captain’ Vijayakanth-led DMDK.

DMDK entered the TN assembly five years ago for the first time with its leader Vijayakanth getting elected to it as a lone member. Now, his party has won 27 seats out of the 45 it contested in alliance with the Jayalalitha lead AIADMK, he will be heading the second largest group in the state assembly.  

The 23-member group of the DMK will now be led by M.K Stalin as his father had announced that people had given him proper rest. The DMK members will now sit next to DMDK. The final positions of various parties in the Tamil Nadu are as under.
