Priyanka Vadra, daughter of the Congress President Sonia Gandhi, said today her mother was doing fine and recuperating after a surgery in the US and would return home soon.
Priyanka visited the Lok Sabha and sat in first row of the visitors’ gallery to listen to her brother Rahul Gandhi speak on anti-corruption and Lok Pal Bill. Only a few journalists grabbed the opportunity to speak to her while she was returning speedily after the speech.
The 39-year old Priyanka, looking majestic and stunning in her red-printed sari, tried to avoid media persons but some of the journalists, who are determined to speak to her, managed to talk to her with some difficulty.
When journalists asked how her mother was doing, she said she was fine and recovering. To a question on when the Congress president would return to India, she said simply, “she may come home soon.”
Priyanka said she fully endorses her brother’s views on Lok Pal and on anti-corruption measures. She didn’t give an opportunity to the journalists to talk more.
