A Delhi special court today sought a medical report on the health condition of the former Samajwadi party leader Mr. Amar Singh and adjourned its decision on his bail plea till September 15.
The authorities of Tihar jail, where Mr Amar Singh was lodged after his arrest in the cash-for-vote scam on September 6, got him admitted into the AIIMS last evening after sudden deterioration of his health condition.
Special judge Sangeeta Dhingra Sehgal asked the AIIMS and prison authorities to submit by tomorrow noon a complete report on his health condition. “The two authorities, the Tihar jail and the AIIMS, shall submit separate reports on the arrested MP’s health condition,” ordered the judge.
Earlier, appearing for Mr. Amar Singh, advocate Hariharan informed the court of the development which led to his hospitalization. “Last evening, his condition had deteriorated in Tihar Jail and was reported to be alarming,” the counsel told the court.
