Bearing with the project for four long years, public really started to feel whether the expensive structure was ever needed. The delay has however has had its brunt been budgets, escalating from the original price tag of Rs. 38.96 Cr to the present estimation of Rs. 50.48 Cr. The structure was flagged of in 2008 and was expected to be complete by 2009. But even to this day it still remains a dream for the residents.

The staggering Rs. 50.48 Cr budget will include provisions for beautification of the skywalk at a cost of Rs. 10.8 Cr. LED lights that will change colour and illuminate the surroundings are worth Rs. 3.8 Cr, and stress bars worth Rs. 7-8 Cr will be specially imported from United Kingdom.
