In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old boy who was employed at a country snacks' making stores, was subjected to ill-treatment after he was found taking a nap while on duty. The incident occurred in Maharashtra where the boy had been employed. The hand of the Guruswamy (victim) was immersed in boiling oil and he sustained grievious injuries on his left hand. Even injuries on his head were noticed.

This ghory incident came to light when Guruswamy arrived at his native town near Tirruparankundram of Tamil Nadu to perform the last rites of his father.  The relatives who sent intimation to the one who took Guruswamy for employement received him at Meesalur village when an unidentified man dropped him early on Wednesday.

After performing the last rites, the relatives enquired as to what happened  to his left hand and the boy complained of the barbarious act. He even said he was not provided sufficient food to eat. The relatives sought the help of the officials in the village who have taken the matter to the notice of Tamil Nadu Child Rights Protection Network.
