Mamata launches official FB page

Trinamul Congress president Mamata Banerjee, who opposed UPA's decision of fielding Pranab Mukherjee as presidential candidate, is strongly supporting and fighting for Abdul Kalam. Mamata Banerjee wanted to tell the scores of people what TMC opines about Abdul Kalam. On the official facebook page of facebook, Mamata Banerjee posted: “"We in the Trinamool Congress support Dr Kalam as the Presidential candidate. I have already given a clarion call to other parties to support Dr Kalam as President."

Mamata Banerjee has asked people to consider the call. She said let the nation be led forward by people such as Abdul Kalam. She said TMC was a small party, which is led by truth and convinction. She even said that all through her life she stood by the principles.

Mamata Banerjee on her facebook page's first post cites a few lines by Rabindranath Tagore followed by her appeal to support APJ Abdul Kalam. She says: “Brothers and sisters, my fellow countrymen, today I am starting a dynamic engagement process with all of you through this page. This is my first post on this page. I am a humble, transparent, common person like the vast majority of you. I gave voice to what millions of Indians want to see in a President.”

She even states: “We in the All India Trinamool Congress support Dr. Kalam as the Presidential candidate. I have already given a clarion call to other parties to support Dr. Kalam as President. Along with my other fellow citizens I can only urge them to consider this call. Let our country be led forward by people such as him, people of free thought and honourable action who will not hesitate to do what is just and right.”

The post has got 262 likes so far. Also, the sources across length of breadth of India, said people don't want someone who couldn't do anything to control prices as the President of the country.
