China has cracked its whip on as many as 89 websites for duping people. The websites claimed to be run by government organization and charity trusts. The govermment, which has confirmed this news, told the media the way the website operators used to threaten certain individual after cooking up stories against them. The targetted individuals, who had fallen prey to the dirty tricks of the hopeless website operators, had to shell out large amounts of money to ensure that the fabricated stories against them don't appear on the websites.

The officials have even brought to light that these website owners used to distribute fake media licences in exchange of thousands of currency.
