The lone surviving terrorist in 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Ajmal Kasab was reportedly shocked to know that his Hindi teacher and LeT agent, Abu Hamza was arrested. The sources said that Kasab asked several questions pertaining to the arrest of Hamza. He asked whether Hamza was captures alone and whether he would be brought to the same prison. The sources have also mentioned that Kasab tries to strike conversation with the security personnel around him. It is known that Kasab told the court, during trials, that he was taught Hindi by a person named Hamza.

It may be recalled that as many as 10 intruders opened fire at the civilians in Mumbai on November 26, 2008. As many as 166 persons including foreign nationals and police cops died in the firing.  While nine of the 10 perpetrators were shot dead by security personnel, Kasab was arrested. The union home minister Chidambaram on Friday said the arrest of Abu Hamza was a major breakthrough in Mumbai terror attacks case.
