One Killed in a bulding collapse due to rains

The relentless and heavy rains lashing Mumbai have caused the collapse of a building in Malad Suburbs killing one person.

This four-floor building, Gopal Bhava, is located in Mamletdar Wadi of the suburbs of Malad succumbed to the heavy monsoon rains. The building was declared to be “dangerous” by the BMC and hence was evacuated long before the event took place.

Chandrakanth Singhvi was the victim of the tragedy. 5 Fire Engines arrived at the spot of the accident immediately.

The heavy rains have also cause a lot of problem to the traffic, railways but there was no disruption of the airways. Waterlogging was recorded in numerous places of the city. Road Traffic was completely chaotic with traffic jams everywhere in the city.

Though the departures sheduled in the central line were off by 20- 25 minutes, the services of the western line run as usual. CST Airport spokesperson reported that there was no delay in the flights and were running normally as scheduled.
