Seema Kumari is a young and innocent girl of just 13 years of age but what could she possibly have done wrong to throw her in the Ganga to kill her? The 13-year old had lodged a complaint and an FIR has been filed against her parents. She said that she was thrown by her parents into the holy river but she swam to safety.

In her statement she said that her father and her step-mother had brought her to Haridwar saying that they would celebrate Rakhsa Bandhan and allegedly threw her into the Ganga canal on the night of Wednesday. They thought that she died after falling in the river and left the scene but somehow Kumari managed to swim to and survive. She spent a night in the cottage of a holy man, a sadhu.

A murder attempt case had been lodged and the search to track her parents is already on.
