Nirbhaya Convicts Did Not Resist During Execution:- The justice has prevailed finally in the brutal Nirbhaya rape and murder case. The four convicts Mukesh Singh, Pawan Gupta, Akshay Kumar Singh and Vinay Sharma are finally hanged during the early hours of Friday and it is after seven complete years justice was attained. None of the four convicts in the case kept up any resistance when they were taken to the gallows yesterday. Vinay Sharma broke down before the execution of the punishment. They were closely watched and tight security has been imposed before the execution.

Vinay Sharma and Mukesh Singh took dinner while the other two skipped. The four were kept in different cells and they were not allowed to meet even after their request. Though they were asked to take a bath, the four convicts did not take bath before the execution. The four were hanged at 5.30 AM exactly on Friday. Half an hour after their hanging, the doctor confirmed their death. Their bodies were handed over to their family members yesterday. Routine medical tests were conducted before the execution.

They were asked if they wanted to prepare a will but they refused. The post-mortem was conducted at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital before handing over their bodies to their families. Just hours before the execution, Pawan Gupta approached the Supreme Court challenging the rejection of his second mercy petition but the top court rejected the plea and announced the verdict at 3.30 AM on Friday. Nirbhaya's parents said justice has prevailed.
