Nirbhaya Case: Execution Stay Rejected:- The four convicts in the brutal Nirbhaya rape and murder case are announced death sentence. The four convicts played several tricks to delay their punishment and filed mercy pleas. The President rejected all the mercy petitions filed and one of the convicts moved to Supreme Court and filed a curative petition. The Delhi court dismissed the plea to stay the execution which is planned to take place tomorrow morning at 5.30. Patiala House Additional Sessions Judge Dharmender Rana dismissed the petition. One of the convicts Akshay Singh filed a second mercy petition before the President.

Advocate AP Singh also submitted a plea in the International Court of Justice to stay the execution. The Supreme Court today rejected the curative petition filed by Pawan Gupta. A six-judge bench dismissed the plea. The court said that they have gone through all the documents and then rejected the curative petition. The Nirbhaya convicts Mukesh Kumar Singh, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Vinay and Akshay will now be hanged in Tihar jail tomorrow at 5.30 AM. All their legal remedies are exhausted.
