Husband shoots wife in ICU, asks if she isn't dead

After killing his own wife by shooting her in the head in an Intensive Care Unit, ICU, the husband was shocked to see attempted murder charges against him who probably expected that he would be booked for murder. The husband had walked in to the hospital's ICU with the calm similar to the one before a storm. It appears that he wanted to rid her of her misery by killing her on Saturday.

Perplexed of the attempted murder charges he has asked, standing before the judge, if his was was not dead.  However, the following day a medical examiner had said that the woman had died of the gunshot wound and declared the incident a homicide allowing the prosecution to reckon serious charges.

John Wise, the 66 year old accused was a man with silvery beard that touched his chest, had been produced before the Akron Municipal Court judge from the jail after his attempted murder. The bond was set at $1 million. His formal trial was put off until Wednesday allowing him time to appoint an attorney.

"We're going to get you an attorney who will be able to answer all of your questions for you, sir," Visitor Judge Shapiro told him.

Wise were arrested by the hospital's security immediately and he had not resisted and co-operated to their procedures.
His wife had been suffering from serious illnesses and had been admitted in the ICU for several days but the details of her illness were not made public.
