The Lahoree guest house had been sealed shut for an year after the recent bust of a sex racket in the house which included high profile men and women. In the maraud the police have arrested two men and two women after they were found red-handed.

The house has been a vice den of sorts. In an earlier incident,  there were also two high profile actresses involved in the sex rackets. Over 50 college students were arrested. Several underage teens were arrested for consuming alcohol and were found in compromising positions. These illegal activities have become rampant in the city. Drugs and alcohol are a common think in the city among the college goers. A few students have also taken to prostitution for earning money easily.
This guest house in Dharampeth has been the hub of sex trade in the state.

A police raid at Hotel Mangi near West High Court Marg only three days prior to the incident had led to the arrest of many youth, boys and girls indulging in sexual offenses and consumption of alcohol.
