No train to Pakistan for minority Hindus

No train to Pakistan for minority Hindus

The rising trend of global religious intolerance has engulfed minority Pakistani Hindus, forcing them to flee the country and seek refuse in India. The rise in Islamic terrorism and the agenda of worldwide jihad are the factors for the Hindus to get scarred to go back to Pakistan even though their visas have expired. The ministry of external affairs has taken the issue seriously and gave them extension if one month.

However the extension is not giving any ray of hope in the times of menacing Islamic terrorism to the Hindus. 20 year old Jamuna echoes the same sentiment while she compares the deadline to a death sentence. "I will die in India but will not return to Pakistan," Jamuna added.

Along with Jamuna there are around 450 other Pakistani Hindus in the same building and all of them are looking for a long term solution rather than a temporary relief. The statistics regarding them might come as a shocker as the Hindus constituted 22 per cent of the Pakistani population in 1951 but today, their share is down to less than 2 per cent.
