Like the mysteries surrounding the miracles of Sri Satya Sai Baba that made him attract millions of devotees towards him and worship him across the globe, the mysteries surrounding the working style of the Satya Sai Central Trust are deepening day by day.
All developments that took place in Puttaparthy in the past two days indicated that the Trust would declare the God-man’s Sajeeva Samadhi (live burial) on Good Friday. A leading Telugu daily also carried a story saying that the announcement of Sajeeva Samadhi would come out at any moment on Friday. But, nothing had happened except for the routine medical announcement that his condition continued to be critical.
A good number of giant screens have arrived in Puttaparthy and most of them have already been erected in some of the towns in the district of Ananthapuram. Special police band party has already arrived in the town and is waiting for the instructions. Helipads are being erected to receive VVIPs and the local 50,000-capacity stadium in the town has already been given a face lift by officials. And, in an unprecedented manner, nearly 7000 police men including the Para military forces have taken over positions in the town for the last two days. And to top it all, ministers, top civil officials have been camping in the town. The entire revenue machinery of the district is dumped in Puttaparthy.
Despite all these developments indicating that the noble soul of the Baba had left his body, the Good Friday announcement has not come. Why? Is the hush-hush activity being carried out by the Trust to transfer on line huge funds lying in banks all over the world not yet over? Are the members of the Trust still fighting over the succession issue? Is the government demanding its share in the succession matters? Will the announcement of Sajeeva Samadhi of Baba not come till the above issues are solved by the Trust?

If one thinks these questions or doubts have no validity, why are the above arrangements made on a war-footing basis? If the soul of the Baba has not left his body and he is still alive, there is no necessity for the government and the Trust to make all these arrangements.
The answer that the arrangements were made as a precautionary measure assuming that the Baba’s soul may leave at any moment does not carry any rationale as the Baba’s condition continued in the same status for the past few days. Is it, however, prudent on the part of the Trust to predict the final moments of a person like Sri Satya Sai Baba in any case?
As there are no valid answers from the Trust to these unending questions, one has to assume that the activity of the Trust is shrouded in a deep mystery. Will the truth ever come out?
