
Some congress MLAs and MLCs belonging to the Telangana region today left for Delhi to seek assurances from the party high command on the creation of Telangana state.The MLAs and MLCs will meet the party central leaders and high command representatives to request them to implement the statement made by the Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram on Telangana state on December 9, 2009.
Sources close to the congress MLAs said they would try to reason with the high command that an immediate announcement on the formation of the Telangana state would ensure strengthening of the congress party and its reputation in both Seema Andhra area and Telangana.
The delegation of the MLAs and MLCs will also meet the party president Sonia Gandhi and plead with her for a quick decision on the issue of Telangana. G. Venkataramana reddy, Kavitha, Kunja Satyavathi, Mutyam reddy, T.Rajaiah, K. Lakshma Reddy, Pratap Reddy, Krishna Reddy, Pravin reddy, Satyanarayana, Ch.Lingaiah and others left for Delhi to plead with the high command for formation of Telangana state.
