Police today arrested four persons who were found distributing money to the voters in the Pulivendula assembly constituency. Police said they have recovered Rs.1.61 lakh from the arrested persons. “We are questioning them,” said police. Reports indicated that the arrested persons belonged to both congress and the YSR congress parties. The election commission officials have however refused to disclose the details. “We will reveal everything at the appropriate time,” said an official.
Meanwhile, union minister and congress leader Purandhareswari began her campaign today in Pulivendula assembly by election. She asked people to vote for the congress candidate YS Vivekananda Reddy at a road show.
Posani joins YSR Congress
Cine writer and director Posani Krishna Murali today joined the YSR Congress led by YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Jagan made the announcement today at an election meeting in Kadapa.
