12 people were killed and more than 20 injured when a lorry in which they were travelling turned turtle at Lakkora Village in Velpur Mandal of Nizamabad district today.
Reports said that the accident took place when the lorry, carrying more than 60 people, was on its way to Amanapur from Chittapur. The villagers, all belonging to Amnapur, were returning back to their village after attending a marriage and having dinner in Chittapur.
All the injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals and the condition of 10 of them is stated to be serious, according to reports. Senior officials have rushed to the spot after hearing the news.
