The minister, who vowed to return to the Secretariat only after the declaration of Telangana state, agreed to call off his Yatra for four days after the PCC delegation led by Pittala Krishna met him at the Pebbair police station and held discussions for four hours on Sunday.
The delegation, sent by the PCC chief D. Srinivas to sort out the issue, assured the minister that they would hold discussions with the Minister DK Aruna who objected to his Padayatra in her Gadwal constituency in the district.
Both Jupally and Aruna were arrested by police as a precautionary measure when the latter threatened the former with dire consequences if he tried to enter her constituency. While Aruna was later released after submitting a personal bond, Jupally continued to be detained at the police station.
After agreeing to call of his Yatra for four days, Jupally Sunday evening submitted a personal bond and came out of the police station.
