Stray dogs attack people, 50 hospitalized

Stray dogs attack people, 50 hospitalized At a time when the government hospitals in the state are unable to stock anti-Rabbis vaccines for treating dog-bite victims prompting even a serious discussion in the last cabinet meeting, stray dogs attacked more than 50 people in Peddapuram Mandalam of East Godavari district last night.
 
Stray dogs attacked people sleeping outside their houses in Kandrakota and Mallam villages severely injuring 50 people. All of them were admitted to Government hospital in Kakinada.

Meanwhile, another dog-bite victim, belonging to Bhogapuram village of Pitapuram Mandalam in East Godavari district, died of Rabbis this morning at the Kakinada Government hospital.

There were instances of people agitating with a demand that government hospitals should stock the vaccines for treating Rabbis victims. Across the state, several persons died of dog bites in recent times.
