Chiru in Delhi for talks with AzadIn the wake of reports that he may be taken into the Union Cabinet, PRP founder-turned congress leader Chiranjeevi left for Delhi this evening following an emergency call from the congress high command.

Chiranjeevi is scheduled to meet the union minister and in-charge of party affairs in AP Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad tonight and discuss the party issues concerned to the state.

The mega star got the phone call from Delhi bigwigs immediately after the completion of the election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the assembly and left for Delhi by the evening flight.
The congress high command is in a hurry to complete the process of PRP merger with the congress. Merger related issues would also come up for discussion.

Now, the election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker is over, the congress leadership wants to appoint a new PCC chief in place of D. Srinivas. But sources said the appointment of the new incumbent would have to be made keeping in mind the whims and fancies of the mega star and the role he would like to play.

After the discussions between Chiranjeevi and Azad, the congress high command will take the decision on the appointment of the new PCC chief.
