The Telangana political JAC today asked the peoples’ representatives of the Telangana area to quit their Assembly, Legislative Council and Parliament seats if the Centre doesn’t announce the formation of the separate state by June 25.
The JAC, which met under the leadership of Prof Kodanda Ram in Hyderabad, took a decision to this effect. “Members of Parliament, Assembly and Council must resign their posts irrespective of their party affiliations. We have taken a decision to this effect,” Kodanda Ram told media persons.
The JAC has also called for a general strike along with Rail Roko and said the Telangana activists will lay a siege to the Hyderabad city.
